Back to the Future and The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance

Hop in a DeLorean and power up the flux capacitor — first stop 1985, next stop 1955 for the Hill Valley High School Enchantment Under The Sea Dance.

On Friday 20th July, Dublin’s The Sugar Club will be transformed into the fabulous and famous Enchantment Under The Sea Dance for a screening of the beloved 1980s film classic Back to The Future.

The screening of Robert Zemeckis’ hilarious time-traveling comedy-caper will be followed by the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance where the audience will be transported back to one of cinema’s most famous dances.

With a voice that could leave Chuck Berry quaking in his boots, Jaime Nanci and the blue boys will be stepping outside of their comfort zone of jazz and blues to bring you some good ol' 1950's rock n roll a mind blowing rendition of  Johnny B Goode.

Dublin’s best retro DJs The Andrews Sisters’ Brothers will be playing hits from the film’s many eras from the 1950s to 1980s and the audience is invited to help set the scene by dressing up for the 1950s or a 1980s school dance. Travel back in time for an un-missable night.

Be there or be square!

The most iconic film of the 1980s sees Michael J Fox as 1985 teenager Marty McFly. He's broken the time barrier, busted his parents' first date and, maybe, botched his chances of ever being born. Marty must bring his parents back together at Hill Valley High’s Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. Helped by the the eccentric Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) he must wait for lighting to strike, fix the DeLorean and get back to the future all in time to get to school the next day.
